European Environment Agency

Background

CleanAir@School is a joint initiative between the EPA Network and the EEA focusing on air quality around schools. Citizen science monitoring campaigns are being performed by participating EPAs that take a common approach to monitoring and analysis. Supported by EEA, targeted communication materials will be produced to engage children and parents in a dialogue on air quality around schools.

The initiative was agreed and launched at a meeting of the EPA Network in Dublin in April 2018, and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2019.
